Herb - How Is It Pronounced?

A few individuals who listen to me on the radio during interviews (and our national Dherbs.Com commercials) think that I am mispronouncing the very thing I specialize in - HERBS!
A few unenlightened individuals (on the subject, that is) have e-mailed me to tell me that they enjoy my information, that I'm inspiring, articulate, and knowledgeable but they have a problem with me pronouncing herbs as HERBS with a vocal or non-silent "H" instead of herbs with a silent "H" which sounds like URB!
What most people don't know is that herb pronounced as URB (or ERB) is only pronounced this way in the United States; but in other parts of the world, people pronounce the word as HERB (as in Herbert), which is the correct pronunciation of the word.
So while it may be correct to pronounce "herb" with a silent "H" in the United States, it still doesn't make the pronunciation right or correct. Americans are some pretty indolent people and they are quick to embrace the incorrect pronunciation of a thing (word) for the sake of convenience and comfort, but to me personally, this is DUMBING DOWN!
The only other herbalist in the United States that I have heard who knows the correct pronunciation of the word "herb" is Dr. Phil Valentine of the University of Kemetian Sciences located in Florida, a good friend and dear brother of mine whom I have learned many profound and wonderful things from over the years.
Phil is a Master teacher (Descended Master in present incarnation to help enlighten and teach people on the 3rd Dimensional plane of existence) and no doubt will be (and is actually) an Ascended Master on a higher plane of existence.
I'm also sure Dr. Sebi of the Usha Research Institute also knows the correct pronunciation of the word "herb" as well.
Personally, I find it funny that people would think I know my stuff about herbs seemingly in all other areas of herbology, but then when it comes to the pronunciation of the thing I specialize in (herbs), I would drop the ball. No, I'm a serious student and laborious researcher and investigator in the manner and spirit of Mae Brusell. I first learn, then master!
So, in closing, all you people out there who think the proper pronunciation of the word "herb" is URB (or ERB), and not "herb" (as in Herbert), who taught you this? Where did you learn this? Or is it that you have only heard the word pronounced this one particular way and you picked up with it and ran with it? See, you have heard the word pronounced incorrectly over and over or repetitiously and like I always say, "repetition of a thing constitutes mental programming."
Just because you may have only heard the word pronounced this one particular way in the United States (due to linearity and/or myopia) does not mean it is the only way or the correct way to pronounce the word.
Pronunciation or perceived mispronunciation could never erase or take away from experience and/or knowledge. Never! But proper pronunciation (in my book) gives to experience and knowledge. English has always been a favorite subject of mine. I like words, decoding them, breaking them down, studying their origins (etymology) or history, and investigating the context in which they are used, including vulgar and verboten words. Nothing is verboten to me. Nothing! Being free, I am a free thinker!
Freedom and enslavement (control) are in words! Power and weakness are in words. Success and defeat are in words. Words are very powerful and I have known this for a very long time.
The purpose of this brief article was to educate, inform, and enlighten and not to belittle, castigate, demean, denigrate, or reprimand, as it is not my duty to do any of these things. I am merely here to help educate, teach, inform, and enlighten so as to help raise the vibration of consciousness on the planet.
